As I mentioned in my last entry, this last week has been a little rough on me. On Friday, I woke up with a temperature of 100.5, which the doctors at CTCA recommend that you contact them if this happens. I did so and they told me to try and make an appointment with my family doctor here to get my cough and cold checked out. I was able to get in that afternoon. The doctor was actually not too concerned with my cold; she said that my lungs sounded good. She did say that my heart rate was way too high and that concerned her. We went over the medication list that CTCA had faxed over to her and she ended up calling them to ask about the new heart medication I had started at my last treatment. The doctors collectively agreed to put me on a beta blocker, which is used to slow the heart rate. It is the same medication that can be used to prevent a heart attack. She also prescribed an antibiotic to try and knock out the rest of whatever is causing this cough. My temperature was up again last night, but is down today and I finally felt well enough to clean up my house. I have not been able to do much of anything before today, so that felt really good.

I heard a new song today by Natalie Grant that I enjoyed and I wanted to post the lyrics. It really uplifted me since I have been a bit down, and I thought maybe it would help someone else. (It's always so much better to hear the songs, so once I can, I will include a link to listen as well.)
