Yesterday afternoon, Gwen said that she had been singing part of a song by Chris Rice. I had just bought a cd a couple of days ago that happened to have this song on it and heard it for the first time as I prayed and read my Bible a few nights ago. I want to post the lyrics to this song.

Untitled Hymn By Chris Rice

Weak and wounded sinner

Lost and left to die

O, Raise your head, for love is passing by

Come to Jesus

Come to Jesus

Come to Jesus and live!

Now your burden’s lifted

And carried far away

And precious blood has washed away the stain... So

Sing to Jesus

Sing to Jesus

Sing to Jesus and live!

And like a newborn baby

Don’t be afraid to crawl

And remember when you walk, sometimes we fall... So

Fall on Jesus

Fall on Jesus

Fall on Jesus and live!

Sometimes the way is lonely

And steep and filled with pain

So if your sky is dark and pours the rain... Then

Cry to Jesus

Cry to Jesus

Cry to Jesus and live!

O, and when the love spills over

And music fills the night

And when you can’t contain your joy inside... Then

Dance for Jesus

Dance for Jesus

Dance for Jesus and live!

And with your final heartbeat

Kiss the world goodbye

Then go in peace, and laugh on glory’s side... And

Fly to Jesus

Fly to Jesus

Fly to Jesus and live!

Fly to Jesus

Fly to Jesus

Fly to Jesus and live!

The other day, I heard someone on the radio say that all men die but few men live. I thought about this for a long time. The reality of this life is that we will all face death unless Christ comes again and we meet him in the sky. Either way, we will all face eternity. Jesus gave us the choice of whether or not we would truly live or not. To have life is to have life in Christ, and no sickness can take that away. Jeff was a man that truly lived. I believe that with his final heartbeat, he kissed us all good bye. He went peacefully, and is laughing and running and having a better time than he ever had in this life.

The devotion in my Bible for today is out of Malachi. Malachi 4: 2 says "But for you who revere my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings. And you will go out and leap like calves released from the stall."

Tom and Jenn told Olivia about Jeff today. Olivia asked "Is his shoulder better?" They told her it was. She asked "Can he walk again?" They told her he can. Olivia responded,  "I am so happy!"
