I came into my computer room tonight to do a quick clean up and I decided to listen to 95.5 the Fish while I did so. I sat at my computer desk to go through some papers and the song "Mighty to Save" by Laura Story came on. I have heard various versions of this song before and have always liked it, but for some reason, tonight, it caused me to stop everything I was doing. I just closed my eyes and stretched my arms to the ceiling, completely consumed by its lyrics. I don't know for certain why music speaks to a part of me like nothing else can, I am not sure if everyone feels that way or not. As I looked this song up, I came across Laura's actual story. Her husband was diagnosed with a brain tumor, so I am certain that the words in this song mean as much to her as they do to me. At the bottom of this page is a link to listen to Mighty to Save. I would strongly encourage you to click on the link and just take a few minutes to listen to it.

None of us know for certain what this life holds. I don't know when I will be called home. My hope is not to be remembered by how I die or what I die from, but rather how I lived and Who I lived for. Today is not too late to make the choice to follow Christ. He is mighty to save.

Zephaniah 3:17

The LORD your God is with you,
       he is mighty to save.
He will take great delight in you,
he will quiet you with his love,
he will rejoice over you with singing."
